LIFE . . . is sharing the joy of Christmas.

While millions of children around the world suffer from a lack of basic essentials, such as food and clean water, many also go without even the most basic comforts, like shoes. This means their feet are susceptible to cuts, bruises, infection and even deadly disease. LIFE’s Christmas Shoe Project was developed to distribute thousands of pairs of shoes each year, as many as possible in time for Christmas.

Every time the shoes are handed out, it is a time of “Christmas joy,” no matter what time of year the children receive them. Many who receive a new pair will be wearing shoes for the first time in their lives! LIFE’s Christmas Shoe Project has become one of the most beloved outreaches our friends and partners support each year, and this year we hope to distribute another 200,000 pairs.
