Stand Together For Freedom

By James Robison Words of Life
The framers of the Constitution knew that the freedom they offered demanded responsible citizens. At the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, Benjamin Franklin was asked an important question as he left Independence Hall on the final day of the meeting in Philadelphia. Looking for
“The Least of These”

I have often spoken about love in action making the difference in life. I put it this way: “Love is not fully expressed until love is given away.” Real love is communicated by action – in words and deeds – with the hope that you’re helping, blessing and loving someone.

And who is that someone? Who is among the group for whom the Lord had particular concerns? In Matthew 25 Jesus told His disciples a parable to display the many ways to love those in need. Toward the end of His story, we find these life-altering words: “‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me’” (vv. 37-40).

At LIFE Outreach this is our calling – we are called to share the Gospel to lift up the souls of men, women and children, but we are also to make a “life difference” whenever possible to help make life better.

You see, we are LOOKING for the least of these, the poor and most overlooked in life. THAT’S OUR MISSION!

That’s why the mission outreaches we share with you – establishing water wells, feeding hungry children, rescuing girls from human trafficking situations and distributing Christmas Shoes – are seen in some of the most remote areas and among the neediest people in the world! They are truly “the least of these” with whom we feel called to share Christ’s love in word and deed.

The LIFE family of believers have made, and will continue to make, a difference in the lives of many thousands around the world because we understand real love demands action
