In 2008, we launched LIFE’s Christmas Shoe Project – an annual outreach providing new shoes for children who desperately need protection for their feet. Since that time, LIFE’s friends have helped fund this outreach, with a goal to give 150,000 children new shoes each year. Christmas is the target date, but there is provision to continue blessing children with shoes as we discover their need throughout the year.

The durable, weather-resistant sandals provide children protection, whether they are walking through jungle terrain, hot desert sand or rocky trails. Protecting children’s feet from cuts, bruises and foot-borne diseases is vital to their well-being.

LIFE’s Christmas Shoe Project means joy for each child receiving new shoes, and they quickly put their gift to use, putting them on and running off to play. Giving is living – blessing both those who give and those who receive – and that really is the heart of LIFE’s Christmas Shoe Project.
