Faith, Sunlight and Serving. Hope and Health in Jesus’ Name

I’ve had the privilege of stepping into some of the most sacred spaces around the world – places where suffering runs deep but God’s love runs deeper still. Whether I’m sitting under the scorching sun in Africa or the blazing sun in Southeast Asia, I’m reminded again and again of the power of presence – of showing up, listening well and offering hope in Jesus’ name.
In Ethiopia, I spent time with families and children whose lives have been marked by hunger and hardship. I listened to their stories and saw the resilience in their eyes. My heart was stirred once again to help raise awareness and support for Mission Feeding so more children across Africa can receive lifesaving nourishment and the hope found in Christ.
Later, in Southeast Asia, I met with children who had been rescued from the horrors of human trafficking. We played together outside in the heat and intense sunlight. Surrounded by both beauty and brokenness, I heard what they had walked through and watched God begin to restore what had been stolen. It was an unforgettable honor to stand beside them, pray over them and remind them they are deeply loved and never forgotten by God.
And while I’m incredibly grateful to travel for missions, I have also learned the importance of taking care of my own health so I can continue to do the work God’s called me to.
The intense sun in many of these places can be dangerous. Over the years, I’ve had four skin cancer spots removed from my head, face and neck. I now see my dermatologist every four months to stay on top of it.
