Sharing God’s love in word and deed is a calling all of us as Christians can respond to. For 30 days, take an active role in blessing others, sharing a word of encouragement or doing something totally unexpected for someone in your life. Here are some ideas:
Day 1: Speak a word of love to your spouse, friend or loved one.
Day 2: Take someone’s shopping cart back to the store for them.
Day 3: Hug your child extra-long at night and remind them of how much you love them.
Day 4: Checking out at the store? Say, “Have a blessed day. Thank you.”
Day 5: Look for that person who seems to need encouragement.
Day 6: Tell someone today, “God loves you, and so do I.”
Day 7: Leave a note for someone you think is doing a great job. Add, “God bless you!”
Day 8: When prompted, give an extra gift of love to help a ministry’s outreach.
Day 9: Volunteer your time for a church need or an extra activity at work.
Day 10: Know someone who is hurting? Write them a word of encouragement.
Day 11: Tell someone, “You’re special,” and let them know why.
Day 12: For those who are interested, give your testimony of God’s love for you.
Day 13: Have you ever donated blood? This may be the time for you!
Day 14: Donate jackets and clothing for the homeless in your area.
Day 15: Buy coffee for the next person in line. Say, “God bless you!”
Day 16: See someone isolated at church, work or school? Sit and chat with them.
Day 17: Give of your time to the elderly through an outreach ministry, helping them at home or visiting to cheer them up.
Day 18: Ask God to show you a person with whom you can share Christ in word and deed.
Day 19: Remember those who have lost loved ones recently. Give them a call or send a card.
Day 20: When somebody asks you to pray for their need, pray with them right then and there.
Day 21: Buy a meal for a family with kids at a restaurant. Leave a note, “God bless you and your kids!”
Day 22: Begin your day with prayer, asking God to lead you to someone who needs Jesus.
Day 23: Write your pastor a thank you note for being the shepherd God called him to be.
Day 24: Help around the house today – without complaining!
Day 25: Look for a single mother who needs help. Give of your time, talent or treasure to bless her.
Day 26: Use a laundromat? Leave detergent for someone and include a note: “I’m blessed to be able to give this to you.”
Day 27: If prompted today, share Christ with the person the Holy Spirit leads you to.
Day 28: Praise your children and tell them how much God blessed you with them in your life.
Day 29: Men, help a lady fill up her tank at the gas station. Tell her, “God bless you today!”
Day 30: Be the light and love of Jesus at home or work today. (Do this every day!)
