Caring for Orphaned and Abandoned Children With Special Needs

Missionary partners completed a playground for “Gems,” special needs children. It’s wonderful that these children, no matter their ability, have an inclusive place where they can play together and just be kids. This was the first project of its kind for this LIFE Center, as it was built solely for the children’s enjoyment, and the Gems are loving it!

Also in process are plans for an assisted living home for our adult Gems, a place for those who have aged out of the Gems children’s home when they turn 18, but have no traceable family to be reunited with.

July marked the celebration of 10 years of caring for abandoned children. The Lord has blessed this outreach built on compassion for children often overlooked and left behind, especially in some of the poorer countries of the world. The joy at this LIFE Center is seen through the smiles of children.

Our heart for children in need of food, care, clean water and rescue from trafficking is seen in the many outreaches of LIFE. It is a privilege for LIFE Outreach to support such dedicated mission efforts in Uganda to help rescue and care for abandoned children with special needs. Thank you for giving to help make a difference for children through this LIFE Center.
