Biography
Even though Janie Burkett was raised in a pastor’s home, as a teenager she chose a life of bulimia, drug addiction, and alcoholism which eventually led her to prison at the age of twenty-two. After 18 months in prison she was paroled still dealing with her addiction. On Dec. 18, 2008, Janie was given a forty year prison sentence for breaking her probation. By God’s miraculous power, six weeks later Janie’s sentence was over turned and she was sent to Teen Challenge where she found salvation, healing and deliverance. After Teen Challenge, Janie was offered an internship with bestselling author and speaker Shannon Ethridge in the BLAST twelve month mentorship program. This provided her with the tools that she needed to become the author and speaker she is today.
