Biography

Kathie Lee Gifford is the four-time Emmy award-winning former cohost of the fourth hour of Today alongside Hoda Kotb. Prior to her time at NBC News, Gifford served as the co-host of Live with Regis and Kathie Lee for fifteen years. In 2015 she was inducted into the Broadcast and Cable Hall of Fame, and recently she was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. A playwright, screenwriter, producer, singer, songwriter, and actress, Gifford has starred in numerous television programs and movies in her forty-five-year career. She has written several musicals, including Broadway’s Scandalous, which received a Tony nomination for Best Actress in 2012. In 2019 she made her directorial debut with “The God Who Sees” oratorio, shot in Israel and based on a song she co-wrote with Grammy-nominated Nicole C. Mullen. Over the past 2 years, she has written and directed three more oratorios and on September 1 will be releasing the collection of four as “The Way.” Gifford has authored five New York Times bestselling books including The Rock, The Road, and the Rabbi. She has supported many charitable organizations over the years and recently established The Rock, Road, and Rabbi Charitable Trust, a 501c3 which will use the arts to produce films and music which share the message of God’s love.
