Biography
Lane Ostrow is the founder of “Products for Good.” In the Spring of 2003, the US and British military in Iraq were called upon to secure the Iraqi banks from looters. In these banks were over 70 thousand pounds of uncirculated gold coins that were decommissioned by Saddam Hussein because they did not have his face on them. For 10 years, they lay in the bank vaults.
The coins were sold off in London and the proceeds benefited an orphanage decimated under Hussein. A few years ago, the ProductsforGood team was able to purchase the remaining coins. Now, their hope is to sell them to raise 200-million dollars for the families of fallen soldiers.
