Biography
Growing up, Peter saw church as a place you endured to please God; later he left the church with no intention of going back. After a remarkable encounter with God in a nightclub, Peter was convinced to give church another chance. In his book Pharisectomy: How to Joyfully Remove your Inner Pharisee and Other Religiously Transmitted Diseases, Haas introduces Jesus in new and refreshing ways. Peter teaches how we can move beyond our legalism, hypocrisy and cynicism, to a place of love, joy and freedom. Peter Hass is the senior pastor and founder of Substance, an arts-oriented, multi-site church as well as an author and popular conference speaker.
