Rob Decker is a speaker, author, and advocate dedicated to inspiring hope and healing through faith, fitness, and community. With over 20 years of experience battling addiction and overcoming trauma, Rob’s journey is one of redemption, resilience, and unwavering faith.
A survivor of a failed suicide attempt that left him with a severed spine, Rob defied the odds by relearning how to walk and committing his life to helping others on their paths to recovery. He is the founder and CEO of Rise as Lions, which runs recovery-centered softball teams in Colorado Springs, and the owner of Kingdom F.I.T. (Faith in Training), where he integrates fitness with faith-based healing.
As the author of God’s Awning, Rob shares 5 powerful stories of trauma and transformation, aligning them with biblical truths to encourage self-reflection and spiritual growth. He is currently working on his second book, God With Us: His Glory, My Story, which delves deeper into his personal experiences with faith, healing, and deliverance.
Rob’s passion for helping others stems from a childhood marked by trauma, rejection, and loss. He found solace in sports and fitness, which later became instrumental in his recovery journey. He has worked as an activities director in addiction recovery, a CCAR Peer Recovery Coach, and a certified fitness trainer, using his expertise to guide others toward physical, emotional, and spiritual restoration.
