Biography
As the Santorums prepared to bring their eighth child into the world, they were given the devastating diagnosis that their child had Trisomy 18. This rare genetic condition takes the life of most children within weeks of their birth. The Santorums chose to fight for Bella’s life despite the grim prognosis. Through many days of sickness, she became an inspiration to her community and, ultimately, to the nation. This year they will celebrate Bella’s sixth birthday. Join Sen.
