Biography

Tammy Trent has been ministering to audiences around the world through her music and speaking since signing her first record deal in 1995.  And in early 2023 she became the new co-host of LIFE Today alongside co-host Randy Robison.
Tammy has been a familiar voice on Christian radio since her music career began with hit songs such as “Your Love is 4 Always”, “Welcome Home”, “Run to The Cross”, “It’s All About You”, and “My Irreplaceable”.  Tragically on September 11, 2001, as America endured one of its greatest attacks, Tammy endured her own personal tragedy and loss when her husband of 11 years was killed in a scuba diving accident while on a mission trip in Jamaica.
After taking a year off the road to grieve and allow God to begin healing her from a shattered life, Tammy returned to the stage as a featured speaker and performer with the Women of Faith Conferences (with some of her friends Sheila Walsh, Patsy Clairmont, Jennifer Rothschild, Carol Kent, Kathy Troccoli, Anita Renfroe, and Luci Swindoll) and The Revolve Tour for teen girls for 6 years sharing her testimony of love, loss, and hope. Her personal story of tragedy, restoration, healing and hope crosses over generational lines and her music inspires all ages, bringing strength and renewed joy.  She continues to minister all over the world to this day.
Tammy’s a gifted communicator who has the ability to draw others in close with her contagious humor, fun and energetic personality.   And yet, the sincerity of her heart and wisdom of life experience is woven through the very words she speaks. Tammy says, “One of my greatest privileges on this journey of hope and healing is to be able to speak into someone’s life who feels hopeless and numb. I’ve been there too, and one thing I’ve learned is that we can never interpret our numbness as God’s absence in our lives”.
Tammy has recorded 7 albums and has authored 3 books including, Learning to Breathe Again: Choosing Life and Finding Hope After a Shattering Loss (W Publishing-Women of Faith Book Selection), Beyond The Sorrow: There’s Hope in the Promises of God (J Countryman Thomas Nelson), and she co-penned the hilarious & brilliantly illustrated Children’s Book, The Log Family: See You at the Beach (September Day) with her late husband Trent Lenderink who sadly never got to see his work completed.
