Webcasts of LIFE TODAY television program is available in three formats: Quicktime, Flash and MP3. Quicktime and Flash are video formats that play in the vast majority of current web browsers. MP3 is an audio format that can play in a browser or a stand-alone player.
About Quicktime
Quicktime is Apple's format for online media. In order to view the LIFE TODAY programs in Quicktime, you must have the latest plug-in. The download is free at quicktime.com.
Apple may try to upsell you to an expanded version of Quicktime and request that you install additional software, browser attachments or adware. None of this is necessary to view the programs. Only the basic Quicktime player is required. You could possibly end up with the free iTunes player.
The way we serve Quicktime you expand your window, the video will stay the same size. However, if you download the television program to your computer, you can scale it in your video player. The Flash version is already scalable.
Quicktime allows you to save our programs to your computer. This means that you can download it, view it at your leisure (even when not connected to the Internet), and place it on a DVD or portable video device. To do this,right-click the "Download" link from the complete calendar listing page and select "Save Target As" or similar language.
If you have Quicktime PRO, you can open the Quicktime version of our program, then right-click the video and select “Save as Source” or “Save as Quicktime Movie.” This option may not be available until the entire program has finished downloading (indicated by the gray bar). Be sure to put it in a folder where you can find it later.

Flash
Adobe Flash provides a free flash plug-in to view media that uses their technology. Adobe may try to upsell you to an expanded version of Flash and request that you install additional software, browser attachments or adware. None of this is necessary to view our programs. You just need the basic Flash plug-in.
Flash is scalable. You may expand your video window to full-screen and the video will get bigger (and a little distorted on some systems). Flash cannot be downloaded and saved to your computer.
