Honoring Jesus and sharing LIFE

Mission Feeding serves those whose everyday lives are rocked by crisis – floods, famine, total loss of crops – and we continue to serve until the people have the ability and resources to sustain themselves. In this, the 36th year for the Mission Feeding outreach, it’s gratifying to know God has used this outreach to help save the lives of more than 24 million children!
Mission Feeding began after James and Betty Robison saw the hunger crisis in Africa due to drought and famine conditions in Mozambique. Since that day, they have never forgotten the rows of graves dug each day for children dying of malnutrition. Feeding outreaches were established, and a simple, nutritious food full of nutrients and easily prepared with hot water became the staple meal we serve starving children.
As the need for Mission Feeding grew – with crop failures, disease outbreaks and influxes of war refugees fleeing for their lives – the outreach moved into new areas of crisis.
Today, 350,000 children are receiving daily lifesaving nutrition in one of the most efficient feeding outreaches in all of Africa.
There is no question as to the nutritional benefits of the food we give to the children. Their frail bodies respond quickly to the vitamins and minerals, and we have seen a remarkable turnaround in their lives time and time again.
The bright orange bowls we use have become symbols of hope, holding the food children anxiously wait in line to receive, often for their only meal of the day. Thank you to every friend who shares LIFE through Mission Feeding and helps save lives. Together we fulfill the words of Jesus, “. . . for I was hungry and you gave Me food . . .” (Matthew 25:35 NKJV).
