Stopping the Cycle of Death!
- Jul 15, 2025
- By the LIFE Team
In the image above, you see what nearly 800 million people worldwide must use for water each day. Their source is filled with bacteria and leaves them vulnerable to illness and even death from waterborne disease. Most often, those who are hit hardest are children, with hundreds dying each day as a result of drinking contaminated water.
In response to this great need for access to clean water, Water for LIFE began drilling water wells in 2000 and is heading toward completion of more than 9000 water wells by the end of 2025!
With each well providing fresh, clean, disease-free water for an average of 1000 people, that means up to 9 million people will have the chance to live better lives, with improved health and higher productivity each day – all thanks to finally having access to disease-free water.
Because of the generosity of the friends of LIFE, you can see the incredible results in the bottom-right picture below. Together, we have helped stop the cycle of death in some of the poorest communities around the world.
