Biography
Over the past 60 years, Evangelist Dr. Billy Foote has conducted revival meetings in more than 30 states across the nation. He has been a popular after-dinner speaker and has given much of his time to Christian entertainment, speaking at many banquets, and special occasion dinners through the years.
Billy has received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from East Texas Baptist University and eventually served on their Board of Trustees. Billy and Winky were both awarded the prestigious Golden Blazers at ETBU and later a dedication service was held for the Billy and Winky Foote Hall, named in their honor, on the University Campus.
Winky has served as revival soloist in her husband’s meetings and she has spoken at a number of Women’s conferences and retreats through the years. Billy and Winky have co-authored, Troubles? You’re Not Alone! and Applying God’s Word From A to Z, a family devotional book.
The Footes met and married while attending East Texas Baptist College in the early 60’s. They have lived in the Longview, Texas area for more than 55 years and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 26, 2023. The Foote’s have two grown married children and four cherished grandchildren.
